Workin' on the Weekend

Today is Memorial Day~ firstly I want to say "Thank You" to our troops for being so selfless :)

On to my ramblings~

Friday was beautiful out, however I was trapped at work so I wasn't able to enjoy it...
Saturday was splendid outside! I woke up in the morning, kissed my love before he went to work, then jumped in the shower.  I headed over to Moms house to pick her up- we were supposed to go to Christmas Tree Shop to look for bridal shower stuff.  When I got to Moms she was running late (This is a serious pet peeve of mine) but then I got a call from Michele that she was also running late..grrrr.

Mom was finally ready so we headed to pick Michele up...who was NOT ready yet...I'm surrounded by procrastination! It's ok though, because once we were on our way we had fun.  I was disappointed with the CTS for stuff for my shower...BUT there was a TON of ideas for Kara's shower! I took a bunch of pictures to show Mum.  After CTS we were super hungry so we stopped at a little sandwich shop before I dropped everyone off.
After dropping them off, it was time to head to my Sensei's house for volleyball. It was a good time~ I got to know his new g/f and she's a super nice, cool chick. I got home around 9ish and all of a sudden...WHAM!... I got hit with a killer migraine! It made me sick to my stomach :( Luckily Chris got home shortly after and made sure I was alright.

Sunday was a very exciting day! We went for our first (and last) official cake tasting! We got such an amazing deal on this friggin cake, and it tastes SOOOOOO good! Better than the original place that we wanted, and thank god because that place was charging over $800! That's INSANE!
We are going with Gerardo's Italian Bakery...I HIGHLY recommend it- such good prices and such amazingly yummy cakes! On top of being really reasonable with the price, they also include a top tier replica cake for your one year anniversary for FREE (so that you don't have to freeze the top tier) I <3 the bakery.
I'm so glad that Mom came with Chris and I to the tasting, I just wish that my sister could have gone.

When we got home we brought the leftover cake samples (b/c they were huge) upstairs so Mum could try them, she loved them.

Later on Chris and I decided to take a ride on the motorcycle since it was so nice out...when we got back from our ride, Papa was home and invited us up for some burgers, so we let him try the cakes too- he was happy with them.

As for today, I'm working 3-11pm :( then I have to be here at 9:30am- ugh Oh well - it's good money, and I'm super duper broke!

PS: Remeber a few posts back when I said I'd post some pics? Here they are...

Weekend Wrap Up

Hello whoever reads this! (:

Friday night was pretty uneventful, besides watching endless episodes of 'Say Yes to the Dress' and 'Four Weddings' lol
I don't know what some of those ladies on '4 weddings' are thinking, haha...some of the decor and dresses are so tacky.  I take a lot of mental notes from it though, a lot of "I don't want it to be like that" thoughts~ so I suppose that it wasn't a total waste of a night ;)
Saturday was good.  I went to my moms for the early part of the day- I must've been determined to get stuff done because I was at her house by 10am, and she lives all the way in Spencer!  I managed to get a good amount of the jewelry for the wedding done- my necklace, earrings, and bracelet are done, I also finished the earring for my bridesmaids (I'll post pics later tonight). I still need to make the necklaces and bracelets for my bridesmaids, along with the jewelry for my mother and FMIL. Whew...I have my work cut out for me.
Saturday night I went to my flower girls dance recital- she was sooooo flippin cute! I love that kid. Her recital was at my old high school, it was so strange to be in there again...I haven't been in that school since 2002~ it made me feel old. After her recital my maid of honor, Ashley (the flower girls mom) and I met up with Chris for some food, so it's safe to say that Saturday was a very good day. :)
During the night I woke up quite a few times with terrible abdominal pain, it felt like my ulcer pains that I used to get when I was in high school :( it was so bad- Chris wake up and wanted to take me to the hospital, but I didn't want to go- he just rubbed my back until I fell asleep. He's the best.
Sunday is my day with my love (as I've said before). We went to breakfast with Ashley and Madison (the flower girl) so that was a lovely start to the day. It was nice out so we took the motorcycle there.
The rest of the day we just hung out and ran some errands. I love just fartin around with him.
Monday was a typical Monday~ blah...I wish I was going to karate, but I'm just too poor right now.

That's all for now- c'ya later!

Tomorrow is Saturday

I'm so happy that this week is over, it was like a war zone at work! This week did have some good points though.
Chris and I had dinner with Michael and Kara last night, we had a great time. It makes us realize how much we have in common and we need to have 'get-togethers' more often.
Also last night Michael agreed to be in our wedding, so we're very happy, it means a lot to us :)

Tonight I  have lots of cleaning to get done (if I can pull myself away from Say Yes to the Dress) hahaha

Tomorrow I'll be getting up early and heading to my mommas to finish up the jewelry for the wedding (hopefully all of it!)
Then tomorrow night I'll be going to my flower girls dance recital!

Well that's about all for now-c'ya later!

It's only Tuesday?

This week seems to be dragging a bit...I just want the weekend to get here so I can finish all of the wedding jewelry!

Chris and I are looking forward to Thursday because we have a dinner date with my future brother-in-law and future sister-in-law, It aught to be a good time!

I made an appointment to go for a cake tasting on Sunday 5/29- so exciting. I really hope that the cakes at Gerardo's are great, b/c the prices seem to be wonderful. I'm sad that my sister can't come though :( she'll be away that weekend.

My mom found this amazing website: http://www.save-on-crafts.com/ I'm addicted to browsing it now lol
We found a garden arch for...ready for this? $15! we're going to buy all sorts of tulle and flowers to spruce it up for the ceremony! Eeep! I can't wait.

Well, it's about that time to go cook for hubby. G'night!

Making up for down time:Thur-Sun

Since 'Blogger' was having technical difficulty last week, I'm doing 2 posts tonight.

Thursday night Chris decided to take me for a ride on his motorcycle...it was suppose to be a quick trip, but he detoured and surprised me by taking me to our ceremony site. I love him- he can be so sweet sometimes!
It was so pretty because the sun had just started to set. We walked around the grounds and talked about where we were going to set up the arbor, and the aisle. It was really nice.
See:

Friday was crazy at work, but I was super excited for my movie date that night. My bridesmaids and I went to see 'Bridesmaids'! It was soooo friggin funny! We didn't stop laughing the whole time. I <3 my girls.

Saturday I got a lot of stuff done around the house in the morning. In the afternoon I helped out at the dojo to set up for the Mass Karate Championships that were held on Sunday. I didn't compete this time :( I've just been too busy to prepare. The last time I competed I won 2 gold medals.

Sunday is my day with Chris. We brought mom to breakfast and then headed to walmart. After that we just hung out a while, and then we decided to head to Gerardo's bakery to take a look at thier wedding cake prices. They didn't have any paperwork- but we got some yummy cookies (although Chris said that mine are better).

That sums up the weekend!

Catching Up

I've been MIA for a few days..busy weekend plus busy start to the week. Haven't been feeling to well the past couple days either.
Friday night was uneventful- got a little cleaning done at home.
Saturday was great though! Woke up early and was at Moms by 11, spent the early part of the day with her and my sister Cindy. After Cindy left, Mom and I took a ride out to the ceremony site to spread some wild flower seeds so there will be a ton of blooms for the ceremony next year. I love the site that we chose, not to mention that it's FREE! We picked The Old Stone Church in West Boylston- it's so pretty.
Once we were done there the weather turned crappy, so we headed home and picked up my MOH Ashley and her daughter Maddie (one of my flower girls) on the way. The rest of the night we just hung out and danced like morons to the Michael Jackson dance game lol
I <3 my friends and fam so much
Sunday is my day to spend with the love of my life...it was also Mother's day. We were going to take Mom to breakfast- but she was feeling under the weather, so we went on our own. The rest of the day was gloomy out, but it turned into a nice night b/c we had dinner with my future in-laws and fbil and fsil. It's always great to spend time with them all.
I was glad that I was able to give Kara a little help with organizing her wedding planning- it's nice to share ideas and tips to make each others planning easier. I also gave her one of my fave items that I just didn't have room for anymore- but I know that my old giraffe is in good hands :)
Yesterday and today were disasters at work- I don't even want to talk about how busy it was!
But last night Chris took me to dinner and we got ice cream and went for a ride...we just sat in the car and enjoyed the warm night while we ate our ice cream. I love that man.

well that's all I suppose~ time to go cook dinner so it's ready when the hubs comes home.

'night!

All New to Me

Here goes with my first blog entry ever.

I'm taking a cue from my FSIL on this by putting my thoughts here, rather than have them jumbled and cluttered in my head.  I feel like my brain never rests lately! Eventhough our wedding is over a year away I want everything done now lol. I don't want to have to worry about it once the day gets closer.

We are so very lucky to have the help from our families that we have- originally we thought we would be springing for everything on our own, so it's a HUGE relief that we have help.

I know that I can't send out my 'save the dates' until December/January....but they are all made already ahhaha- It took me hours (made about 100), but I loved every second of it...here's a picture:

Well I suppose that's all for now~
